Washington Township Recreation Center and West Building Annex

Washington Township
Centerville, Ohio

SEM has done periodic work on the older portions of the facility for maintenance purposes and to help keep the Recreation Facility up-to-code and ADA accessible. A current project includes masonry work and reroofiing of both the primary center and Rec. Center West, a nearby satellite center for youth.

SEM was responsible for designing a major new wrap-around addition to the Washington Township Recreation Center that now includes multiple gymnasiums, a weight room/fitness center, pools, an overhead running track, climbing wall, and several community and conference rooms, as well as locker rooms. The indoor track that was part of SEM’s addition circles the main gym, the auxiliary gym, and the secondary gymnasium atrium. The atrium also includes a prominent climbing wall feature that is 24 feet high by 36 feet wide. The fitness center includes nautilus and weight-lifting equipment of different types. The Recreation Center offices, conference, and meeting/function rooms are also accommodated within the facility.
